Kellen's Black Bean Mango Salsa

Bright, colorful, and perfect for tacos, fish, chicken, or straight-up chip dipping.


  • 1 can black beans, rinsed & drained

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled & diced

  • 1/4 red onion, finely diced

  • 1 red or yellow bell pepper, diced

  • 1 tomato, diced

  • 1 jalapeño, minced (remove seeds for less heat)

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 2 cloves fresh garlic

  • Zest + juice of 2 limes

  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder


  • Add black beans, mango, red onion, tomato, bell pepper, jalapeño, garlic and cilantro to a large bowl.

  • In a small bowl, whisk lime zest, lime juice, salt, pepper, cumin and chili powder

  • Pour dressing over salsa and gently toss to combine.

  • Chill for 20–30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
