Weavers Dutch Country Farm Dust Seasoning

Oct 16, 2026

There are some pantry staples you buy once, use a few times, and then forget about.

And then there are the ones you start reaching for every single day.

For me, one of those seasonings is Weavers Dutch Country Farm Dust.

If you haven't tried it yet, Farm Dust is an incredibly versatile seasoning blend made with salt, dried onion and garlic, black pepper, fennel, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, savory, sage, oregano, and basil. Weavers describes it as an everyday seasoning that can be used on breads, meats, pastas, salads, vegetables, casseroles, and more.

Why Farm Dust Has a Permanent Spot in My Pantry

I love a seasoning that doesn't make me stop and think, "What should I use this on?"

Farm Dust is one of those blends.

Think of it as an easy way to add savory, herby flavor without having to pull out ten different spice jars.

Try it on:

  • Scrambled eggs and omelets

  • Roasted or air-fried potatoes

  • Corn on the cob

  • Roasted vegetables

  • Chicken (love the spicy dust in the air fryer)

  • Steak and burgers

  • Pork

  • Pasta

  • Salads

  • Bread and homemade biscuits

  • Casseroles

  • Popcorn

And here's a little secret: use it anywhere you'd normally reach for salt and pepper.

That's one of the reasons I like it so much. It's not a specialty seasoning that only works for one recipe. It's an everyday pantry workhorse.

Want Some Heat? Try Spicy Farm Dust

If you like a little more kick, don't stop at the original.

Weavers Spicy Farm Dust takes the familiar Farm Dust flavor and adds cayenne for extra heat. The ingredient list includes salt, onion, cayenne, garlic, black pepper, fennel, marjoram, rosemary, savory, sage, oregano, and basil.

I would reach for the Spicy version when I'm seasoning:

  • Chicken wings

  • Burgers

  • Grilled meats

  • Roasted potatoes

  • Popcorn (especially the spicy dust)

  • Eggs

  • Tacos and taco bowls

  • Vegetables

  • Fries

  • Anything that could use a little extra personality

If regular Farm Dust is the everyday pair of jeans of my spice cabinet, Spicy Farm Dust is the pair with a little more attitude.

And Yes, There's a BIG Bag

Here's my recommendation if you already know you're going to use this stuff constantly:

Buy the larger 20-ounce bag.

Weavers offers Farm Dust in a 20-ounce refill bag, which is perfect for keeping your favorite shaker filled without buying little bottles over and over.

The 20-ounce bag is especially appealing if Farm Dust has become your "put it on everything" seasoning. You can keep a shaker on the counter for everyday use and refill it from the larger bag in the pantry.

The Farm Dust Dip

One of the easiest ways to try it is in a simple dip.

Combine:

  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese

  • 4 ounces sour cream

  • 1½–2 teaspoons Farm Dust

Mix until smooth and serve with vegetables, pretzels, or potatoes. It's also delicious as a potato topper. This simple combination is actually featured in Weavers' own recipe collection.

My Pantry Pick

If you're trying Farm Dust for the first time, I'd start with the 8-ounce shaker.

But if you've already had it and thought, "Oh, I'm going to be putting this on everything," skip the tiny bottle and go for the 20-ounce bag.

And if you like heat?

Get the Spicy Farm Dust too.

Because having one all-purpose seasoning in the pantry is good.

Having the regular and spicy versions ready to go?

That's better.

Kellen's Kitchen Pantry Rule #1: When you find a seasoning that makes everything taste better, keep a backup.

Until next time,
